Hi there, my name is Josh. Jumping Monkey is my screen name, through which I have been online as a blogger for almost three years now. I am mainly a freelance artist, who likes to draw cartoon styled charcters. However, I also frequently work with the program Blender, which allows me to expiriment with animation, 3d modeling and sculpting, rendering and lighting. I tend to like alternative art programs. Like the Affinity programs. And Sketchbook pro.
My other hobbies include, graphic designing, photography, video editing, gaming, creative writing, and I love the game of airsoft. Although, I mainly do and post art, Which I have been doing through sketching on a pad for about 11-12 years.

Q&A
What kind of art do you create?
The majority of personal and commissioned work that I do involves creating digital drawings and painted scenes that ussually involve a character. I preffer designing and drawing characters, which began as a hobby in my sketchbooks. check out my blog or portfolio to get a better idea of what I do.
Where did you get the name "Jumping Monkey?
I played around with a few names when first creating my blog, pretty much randomly arriving at the name Jumping Monkey, which has the same initials as my real name.
Do you create websites?
Yes and no. I have created this website from scratch, but did so using a program called Wix. My blog is created using Wordpress. I do not know code and have never designed a website as a job. I actually have very little knowlege of coding. You can donate to support this website on the Home page.
Did you make all of the art on this website?
I created every peice of artwork on this site except for a few small symbols, which are free from Wix. So yes, I have.
How did you learn to do all this?
Practice, mostly. But I have recently been watching a lot of videos on Youtube, and in the past have attended various small art classes.
What do you use to draw digitally?
When I began blogging my work, I was taking pictures of my sketchbook with a Cannon T3I. I also used a Wacob Bamboo tablet I was given, drawing through AutoDesk Sketchbook. Within the last year, I have been using a Cintiq 13HD with Sketchbook Pro.
